Just the Way I Am

I adore Jo Watson, definitely one of my favourite authors.

She’s starting over. And the real her is letting loose.

From the author of the 100,000 copy-selling rom-com, Love to Hate You! No one makes you laugh like Jo Watson!

Has Fate given her a second chance?

‘Zoe’ is having a very bad day. As if getting trapped in a faulty elevator wasn’t bad enough, losing her memory has made it much worse. If there’s one piece of luck, it’s that the paramedic on the scene, Noah, is both kind and a handsome distraction…

Now a completely blank canvas, with the help of Noah, ‘Zoe’ is excited to fill her world with colour, creativity and sweet and spicy food. She just knows from the tips of her toes, right to her fleek brows, that these things were all part of her make-up.

But when her identity is traced, the life ‘Zoe’ was living before the accident bears no resemblance to that of the person she’s convinced she is. What happened to make her world so narrow and colourless?

And now she has the chance to start over, is it time to let the real Zoe out?

My Bookish Thoughts

This book really has given me all the feels. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and there are moments of this book so much deeper than I expected.

I absolutely adore Noah, what a stunning main character. He is definitely a perfect male and what a character to meet in February.

This book has taken me on a rollercoaster and it has been completely mixed emotions. Lots of happy and some quite emotional. Watson has made me feel all of these emotions which is a credit to how talented an author she is.

I have loved the journey throughout this one. The contrast been Zoe and Zenobia is polar opposites. However, I have loved her journey of self discovery and wanting a change. It has been shocking to see the life of Zenobia unfold in comparison to how Zoe thought she was.

I am glad we have been able to find out reasons why this has been the case. It has been endearing to witness relationships heal throughout the book. This has been a real positive and allowed us to know the character on a deeper level.

I have read ALL of Jo Watson’s previous books and this is quite possible my new favourite. I adore how gorgeous the cover is, the plot is equally as fantastic.

This is a definite five star read. I highly recommend this book.
